What To Buy At the Shopbop Sale: 2021 Edition

Twice a year, Shopbop holds their “Big Event” sale.

While it changes year to year, the premise is this:

15% off orders $200+

20% off orders $500+

25% off orders $800+

(Remember to add the code at checkout!)

Shopbop sale

With the minimum spend, you have to pay to save in Shopbop’s sale.

My #1 tip for the Shopbop Big Event site-wide sale?

Buy quality items that that don’t normally go on sale.

Let me give you some examples…

Naadam Cashmere
True to size and pill resistant, Naadam makes surprisingly decent cashmere.

All of their sweaters are part of the Shopbop sale, including my exact one.

Rag & Bone Tees
Probably, my favourite t-shirts for close to decade now.

Rag & Bone t-shirts are true to size, hold up in the washing machine, and don’t wear out after multiple wears & washes.

My favourite? The Tee.

James Perse Tees

James Perse tees are the epitome of luxury.

They are so understated and I love them so much.

This year, ALL James Perse basics are part of the Shopbop sale.

AGOLDE Denim Shorts
While a little big, AGOLDE Parker shorts are insanely comfortable and look incredible.

At $128 USD, they’re a little expensive, but when you factor in saving 15-25%, that new price looks as good as they do.

A.P.C. Jeans
If you know, you know.

A.P.C. jeans run a little small, but they sure are classic.

Shopbop carries two pairs.

Levi’s Jeans
My latest obsession.

Wedgie, 501s, Ribcage, it doesn’t matter what style you get — Levi’s jeans are timeless.

Rag & Bone Jeans
The love of my life, the pair of jeans I keep falling back into…

Rag & Bone skinny jeans.

You might have to size down in them, but they’ll last you forever.

Re/Done Jeans
From Instagram to real life, I get the most compliments in my Re/Done jeans.

Depending on the style, Re/Done jeans run true to size or a size small.

… but they are worth it — especially at the Shopbop sale price.

La Perla Slips
While I love bias-cut slip dresses, for the price, La Perla’s slip (or “chemise”) is my ultimate favourite.

At 100% silk, it’s hand-washable, doesn’t lose it’s lustre, and is so easy to pack on vacation.

Wear a pair of tights when it gets cold or just add a pair of knee-high boots.

This is the slip dress to end all slip dresses.

Castañer Espadrilles
The French aesthetic isn’t going anywhere.

Do you have your Castañer espadrilles?

Si non, get ‘em now!

Do I need to say more?

Anyone who’s ever wanted a pair of Converse knows that they never go on sale…

So here’s your chance to actually get them on sale.

(FWIW, I’m generally a US 8.5, but take a size 8 in my high tops.)

Hunter Wellies
I love wearing mine.

These boots will last you for more rainy days than you could ever possibly want in your life…

Listen to Shopbop’s advice and size down if you’re between sizes.

Wolford Tights
These are the tights that will help halt any cold gusts on your legs.

Super warm, super well-made, and super classic.

Wolford tights don’t go on sale… unless it’s during the Shopbop sale, then all their basic tights are part of the Big Event.

My #2 tip for the Shopbop sale: don’t buy things that go on regular sale, unless you’re totally obsessed with it and “need it now.”

Shortly after the Big Event, Shopbop does a regular sale that’s admittedly pretty healthy.

… but if you want to save even more on current-ish pieces, hit up Shopbop’s sale section — most pieces are also part of the Shopbop Big Event sale.

TLDR: Buy basics that don’t go on sale… or hit up the sale section for extra big savings.

Happy shopping… and don’t forget to use the code at checkout!
